Prototype Mark I

Prototype Mark I

29 December 2008; after five months of research into various ways of using water in an engine, a combustion chamber was built to replicate the methodology used by s1r9a9m9.

It included two spark plugs (one for gaseous ignition and one for submersed ignition), a pressure relief valve, a pressure sensor and a pressure/vacuum connector.

In the end, it was impossible to source the coils used by s1r9a9m9, as no part number was provided. Various coils were tested, however no sufficient test-bench spark could be created for use in the chamber.
