Zero CFI Energy is an innovation hub with an intent to introduce a highly efficient, low cost high yield green-hydrogen extraction device for energy and transport.
Our Story
Around 2001, we begun research into alternative energy.
These days, there's lots of pioneering companies that are hell bent on generating hydrogen to become key leaders in this new "ionic age"; good on 'em we reckon!
Generating green-hydrogen efficiently in large volumes, however, is somewhat challenging.
The transportation and storage of hydrogen is prompting some to consider other options too; like electric vehicles...and if you're travelling short distances and don't mind waiting around for recharges or battery swaps, then this may be the best way to go if the power generation is from a green source.
Our Approach
Building on our understanding of various fields of knowledge, from quantum physics to electromagnetics, we decided to start working on "high efficiency" energy production devices in 2008 and we now find ourselves building our fourth hydrogen based prototype that should generate great volumes of green-hydrogen.
This will eliminate the need to have hydrogen storage tanks on-site or attached to vehicles.
Anyhow, we went ahead and purchased a 12.5 metre coach and started kitting it out to roam the countryside and work with various partners to build and test our high yield green-hydrogen extraction device. It's more complicated than we first thought as we need advanced materials to generate these high yields, but we'll get there as we know what we need to do to get there.
Initially, we'll be supplementing the coach's diesel engine with the hydrogen by metered pumping into the intake manifold, but over time and we achieve a 50% reduction in the use of diesel, our plan is to replace the diesel engine with an electric motor, a hydrogen fuel cell and a small bank of batteries for intermittent high burst power draws.
As we're based in Western Australia, we'll be predominantly working with the mining industry but we're also open to other companies who are keen to get involved.
