29 December 2008; after five months of research into various ways to of using water in an engine, a combustion chamber was built to replicate the methodolgy used by s1r9a9m9.
It included two spark plugs (one or gaseous ignition and one for submersed ignition), a pressure relief valve, a pressure sensor and a pressure/vacuum connector.
In the end, it was impossible to source the coils used by s1r9a9m9, as no part number was provided. Various coils were tested, however no sufficient test-bench spark could be created for use in the chamber.
My apologies for the photo, but this was captured from the only record of this prototype, which as from an old flip phone video, and it was particularly grainy.
