Recirculating Shower

24 May 2025; finally, after a very long process of having to make a sheet metal bending tool and cutting then bending the required sheet metal for the cladding of the two new compartments, they are now complete...apart from the door seals, which will be installed once the paint has dried. The next stage is to install the 40mm drain pipes, 12mm hot and cold water tubing and many electronic solenoid valves that are part of the recirculating shower. Most of this will be installed in-between the left and right compartments by removing the top inner vertical panels. The rear panel for each compartment is also removeable for easy access to the air bags. The left compartment is shown below.

4 November 2024; we are finalising the installation of a recirculating shower, including our innovative Thermal Energy Storage (TES) device. To make enough room, two new storage bins (compartments) had to be created - one for the heating solution, including our TES device, and another for all the filters. The recirculating shower will consist of a six stage water filter system, followed by a UV sterilizer. The six stages of filtration are gravel, peat moss, fine sand, a spin-down filter, a PVDF filter, and an activated carbon block filter. During this process, we decided to design a new type of "storage device" for motor homes and boats, so watch this space for further updates.
